The Quality Officer role will ensure the TAE Commercial quality management systems directly support achievement of world class levels of Operational Integrity. This role primarily supports the Scottsdale facility however it will also be expected to provide support and guidance to all other TAE USA facilities as required.



Description

Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

  • Actively monitors and assists in development of the programs compliance assurance management systems aimed at achieving a ‘World Class, Best Practice, Right Practice’ standard and the maintenance of Operational Integrity across the programs FAA/EASA Part 145 Aviation activities.
  • Providing advice on the compliance program as it pertains to the provision of aviation maintenance services for the USA facilities.
  • Providing compliance performance monitoring and reporting functions to assist with management of the USA facilities.
  • Ensuring compliance with all business and industry specific regulatory requirements.
  • Oversight of appropriate process implementation within the FAA 145, EASA 145, CAA-UK, AFAC Mexico, and ISO9001 activities as they pertain to Regulatory process.
  • Identification and development of Continuous Improvement initiatives within USA facilities as they pertain to TAE and Customer requirements.
  • To reduce maintenance costs and establish a systematic culture of responsibility, awareness, and authority.
  • Approval and renewal of suppliers in accordance with the TAE and regulatory requirements.
  • Performance of onsite audits of non-certificated contractors/vendors and desktop audits of certificated contractors/vendors.
  • Audit applicable programs in accordance with the TAE audit program and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the management of applicable external audits with relevant NAA and customers.
  • To assist managers and employees to identify all quality/safety risk areas and the implementation of control programs to manage risks in accordance with the Safety Management System program.
  • Investigate NCR and perform RCCA.
  • Perform incident investigations.
  • To reduce costs and establish a performance management culture of responsibility and authority within the USA facilities.
  • To assist in development and implementation of common compliance assurance reporting across TAE.
  • Identify areas for improvements in efficiency and effectiveness in the USA facilities.
  • Training and promotion of Quality and Safety Management systems.
  • Processing of customer quality questionnaires and surveys.

 



Skills And Experiences

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Trained as an Internal Auditor with a minimum of 1 year of practical experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Part 145 aviation maintenance environment.
  • Practical use of Root Cause Corrective Action analysis to address Non-Conformances.
  • Knowledgeable in ISO9001, FAA 145 & EASA 145 requirements. Knowledgeable in foreign regulatory requirements a plus.

Desirable

  • Formal Qualifications in Quality Systems, Diploma in Quality.
  • Safety Management Systems training.
  • ISO9000, AS9100, or related auditor experience.
  • Accredited Auditing Qualifications.
  • Broad knowledge of and experience in all maintenance practices involved with aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO).
  • Supplier Quality Management audit experience.
  • ICAM or equivalent qualifications in Investigation Incidents & Reporting.
