Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Property Patrol in Chandler, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, support access control, and report security-related concerns with clear communication and customer service. You will remain highly visible to help to deter incidents while supporting a professional workplace experience. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, labs, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, observe for unusual behavior, and report suspicious activity, maintenance issues, and policy concerns through required communication channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with site contacts, and contacting public emergency services when needed.
  • Document patrols, alarms, incidents, and customer requests with clear, accurate reporting, and support investigations by collecting observations and preserving the scene for authorized personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
  • Have a guard card and/or license, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
