Security Officer - Patrol Ambassador

As a Security Officer - Patrol Ambassador in Gilbert, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will patrol assigned areas, monitor activity, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. You will support access and alarm response needs while delivering customer service. In our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first and act with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, trailer yards, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity involving employees, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries, verifying access permissions and reporting concerns in accordance with post instructions.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by observing vehicle traffic, checking assigned areas, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
