Job Description

As a Security Officer - Lobby Desk Monitor in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the welcoming first point of contact at a professional office location, helping manage visitor check-in, access control, and badge processes. You will monitor cameras and alarms, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with staff and responders as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
  • Control access to the location by greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification and/or appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and notifying appropriate personnel of arrivals.
  • Monitor the front desk area and security-related systems as assigned, report unusual activity, and document events using required logs and/or reporting tools.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Answer phones and handle routine requests, provide general location information, and escalate concerns through established channels per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
