This position supports MCSO Headquarters by performing variety of duties to ensure the security and public safety of elected officials, employees, visitors, the public, and County properties. In addition, this position performs security, screening, patrol services, emergency services, and operational functions to maintain the security and safety of assigned facilities, personnel, and the public. This position requires daily interaction with the public and County staff, offering both proactive engagement and responsive support. Strong interpersonal skills, situational awareness, and problem-solving abilities are essential to effectively manage evolving safety needs, de-escalate potential conflicts, and promote a secure environment.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

A background investigation is conducted on a current employee who changes to a Safety Sensitive Position or one having the potential for serious adverse impact on the integrity or efficiency of the County. Typically, successful candidates are hired at a salary rate, up to midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience, internal equity and budgetary allowances.

The Maricopa County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates considered to be the most highly qualified. Those selected will be assessed based on the evaluation of listed education and experience. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a list provided by Human Resources.
