Position: Security Guard – Papago Baseball Complex
Reports To: Senior Manager, Papago Facilities
Department: Player Development
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: April 2026-December 2026
Position Summary:
The San Francisco Giants are seeking a Security Guard - Papago Baseball Complex to join the Baseball Operations department. This position will maintain the security and integrity of the Papago training facility, directing fans to the appropriate viewing areas and secures restricted areas including parking lots. The position will also provide excellent customer service to all players, employees, guests and fans.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assure non-Giants personnel stay within the spectator areas and do not enter restricted areas
- Assure that both parking lots are secure, and that buses and delivery vehicles are orderly.
- Assist fans and outside personnel with questions and point them to the appropriate spectator areas.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift
- Position has outside responsibilities so must be able to be in direct sun for the duration of the shift
- Previous security experience preferred, but not required
- Quality customer service skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to speak Spanish preferred, but not required
- Ability to direct fans in a polite manner
- Ability to lift 25 pounds without concern
- Must be available at 7:00 am daily with a flexible schedule based on practices, game times and additional event needs in the Spring and late afternoon and evening in the Summer. Shift end- times may vary based on practice and game schedules.
